Job summary

Service Service in Droitwich is seeking an experienced HGV Technician to join its established workshop team. The role covers servicing, maintenance, fault finding and repair of HGVs, trailers and commercial vehicles.

You'll work with an experienced team, maintain vehicles to a high standard and ensure all work is completed safely and efficiently. The position offers a competitive salary of £43,500–£46,500 per annum, 40 hours, Mon-Fri, with overtime.

Qualifications

• Experience as an HGV or commercial vehicle technician.
• City & Guilds or NVQ in relevant field (or equivalent).
• Commercial vehicle workshop experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Carry out routine servicing, maintenance and repairs on HGVs, trailers and commercial vehicles
• Diagnose and rectify mechanical and electrical faults
• Complete job cards, service sheets and vehicle records accurately
• Work with the parts department to source required components
• Maintain a clean, safe and organised workshop
• Follow Health & Safety procedures and safe working practices
• Maintain up-to-date technical knowledge and attend relevant training

Service Service is recruiting for an experienced HGV Technician to join an established commercial vehicle business in Droitwich.

This is a hands-on workshop role involving the servicing, maintenance, fault finding and repair of HGVs, trailers and commercial vehicles. You’ll work as part of an experienced team, maintaining vehicles to a high standard and ensuring all work is completed safely and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out routine servicing, maintenance and repairs on HGVs, trailers and commercial vehicles
• Diagnose and rectify mechanical and electrical faults
• Complete job cards, service sheets and vehicle records accurately
• Work with the parts department to source required components
• Maintain a clean, safe and organised workshop
• Follow Health & Safety procedures and safe working practices
• Maintain up-to-date technical knowledge and attend relevant training

About You

• Previous experience working as an HGV or Commercial Vehicle Technician
• Technical qualification such as City & Guilds or NVQ, or equivalent practical experience
• Commercial vehicle workshop experience
• Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills
• Good attention to detail and a commitment to quality
• HGV or PSV licence would be advantageous but is not essential
• Good customer service and communication skills
