Totally Recruitment Group Ltd is recruiting skilled HGV and PCV Mechanics to join the Service Department of an established commercial vehicle manufacturer in Droitwich, Worcestershire. You'll maintain and repair a wide range of vehicles, diagnose faults and ensure DVSA standards.

The role offers day shifts, permanent contract, generous overtime, a salary of £42,500–£46,800 depending on experience, healthcare, pension and on-site parking.

Qualifications

Totally Recruitment Group Ltd is currently recruiting for skilled HGV and PCV Mechanics to join the Service Department of an established commercial vehicle manufacturing business based in Droitwich, Worcestershire.

Our client specialises in vehicle transporters, roadside rescue vehicles and heavy recovery equipment. Due to continued growth within the Service Department, several exciting opportunities are available for experienced mechanics to join the team.

The Role

As an HGV / PCV Mechanic, you will play a key role in maintaining and repairing a wide range of commercial vehicles and trailers. You'll be responsible for diagnosing faults, carrying out routine servicing and repairs, and ensuring all work is completed to the required DVSA standards.

You’ll work as part of a skilled service team, helping to deliver a high standard of aftersales support and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

• Carrying out routine maintenance, servicing and repairs on various makes of vehicles and trailers to DVSA standards.
• Diagnosing and rectifying mechanical and technical faults.
• Ensuring vehicles are handled with care and all necessary precautions are taken while on site.
• Liaising with the parts department to source the correct components for repairs.
• Following health and safety regulations and maintaining safe working practices.
• Accurately recording working hours against jobs.
• Completing job cards and service sheets promptly and correctly.
• Keeping your work area clean, tidy and organised.
• Maintaining up-to-date product knowledge and attending training courses as required.
• Working efficiently to ensure repairs are completed to a high standard.

What We're Looking For

To be considered for this opportunity, you should have:

• A relevant technical qualification, such as City & Guilds or NVQ, or proven experience in vehicle maintenance and repair.
• Previous experience working in a commercial vehicle workshop.
• Strong fault-finding, diagnostic and repair skills.
• A good understanding of vehicle servicing and maintenance standards.
• Excellent attention to detail and pride in the quality of your work.
• Good communication skills and the confidence to deal professionally with customers.
• A reliable, flexible and team-focused approach.

Desirable but not essential:

• A valid HGV driving licence.
• A valid PCV / PSV driving licence.
