Looking for a new HGV Technician opportunity in 2025?

The Hartshorne Group is a leading commercial vehicle distributor serving the West Midlands, East Midlands, Derbyshire, Nottinghamshire, Shropshire, and Staffordshire. We offer comprehensive parts and service facilities for Volvo Truck & Bus, along with new and used vehicle sales and related services.

We are recruiting for HGV Technicians to join our team in Burton.

The Role

As an HGV Technician, you will perform fault diagnosis, servicing, and repairs to Volvo standards, identify repairs requiring specialist skills, and report additional work to the Production Controller or Workshop Supervisor. You will also complete repair orders, service reports, and production documentation.

Shift Pattern

Alternate weeks:

• Week One: 06:00 am to 14:30 pm
• Week Two: 14:00 pm to 22:30 pm

Alternate Saturday mornings and possible call-out duties may be required.

HGV Technician Requirements

Qualifications such as City & Guilds Parts 1 & 2, BTEC, IMI in motor vehicle management, or equivalent practical experience in the commercial vehicle industry. An HGV license is advantageous but not essential.
