Job Description

We are currently recruiting HGV Technicians to join our Transport Department at the Amesbury Depot within our Müller Milk & Ingredients Distribution business.

This is a great opportunity for HGV Technicians seeking to work for a prestigious logistics company, servicing and repairing a modern, well-maintained fleet of vehicles.

The role's primary responsibility is to repair and maintain our HGV fleet to comply with legal and company standards. Candidates will be expected to actively seek solutions to challenges and adopt a safe and efficient approach to their work.

Details

• Location: Amesbury Depot (SP4 7SZ)
• Contract: Full Time / Permanent
• Shift Patterns: 5 days out of 7 (47.5 hours per week)
• Rate of Pay: £19.29 per hour
  • Saturday: £21.70 per hour
  • Sunday: £28.94 per hour
  • Overtime / Bank Holiday: £28.94 per hour
  • Unsociable hours (1800-0400): £22.03 per hour

Responsibilities

• Inspect and maintain our HGV fleet
• Prepare vehicles for MOT testing and transport to test centres
• Record vehicle defects and maintain accurate records of work carried out
• Repair minor accident damage
• Conduct fault diagnosis
• Prioritize safety in all aspects of the role

Key Skills & Experience

• Qualifications: City & Guilds Part 2 & 3 / BTEC / IMI in motor vehicle management or equivalent practical experience in the commercial vehicle industry
• Essential: Commercial experience on HGVs
• Preferred: Class C+E license
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Good at managing deadlines and prioritizing workload
