Job summary

Lanes Group plc is recruiting for a Vacuum Tanker Driver based in Leeds within the Yorkshire Water Tankering division. You will independently operate a vacuum tanker to collect, transport and dispose of non-hazardous liquid waste across Leeds and the wider Yorkshire region, supporting drainage projects and ensuring high safety and environmental standards.

The role requires an HGV Class 2 licence with up to six penalty points, and training will be provided.

Qualifications

• HGV Class 2 licence with no more than 6 penalty points.
• Valid CPC would be desirable.
• Experience with tankers is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Independently drive and operate a vacuum tanker to collect, transport, and dispose of non-hazardous liquid waste across Leeds and Yorkshire.
• Support drainage and remediation projects as needed.
• Move treated and untreated waste products and assist with remedial works.
• Liaise with customers to coordinate services and ensure satisfaction.
• Update electronic records accurately after each job.
• Report safety concerns and ensure compliance with health, safety and environmental standards.
• Perform routine vehicle and jetting equipment checks and maintain cleanliness.
