Job summary

The Ashcourt Group is seeking an experienced HGV Driver to join our Skip Wagon fleet at Thompsons of Prudhoe. You will work a 40-hour week with overtime paid for hours over 45, and earn an hourly rate with additional overtime compensation.

We require a valid HGV Cat C licence, a tachograph card, and at least 1 year of HGV/Skip Wagon driving experience, with a clean licence (max 6 points) and right to work in the UK.

Qualifications

• Valid HGV Cat C licence and tachograph card.
• Minimum 1 year of HGV/Skip Wagon driving experience.
• Maximum 6 points on licence and valid right to work in the UK.

Responsibilities

• Operate HGV Cat C vehicles following all driving and traffic laws.
• Drive long or short distances as required and plan routes with your line manager.
• Conduct pre-use defect/cleanliness inspections and ensure a clean cab.
• Complete proof of deliveries on a tablet and maintain safety protocols.
• Follow traffic reports and adapt routes as necessary.
• Support scheduling and route planning with the team.
