Job summary

Daval Associates in Kniveton, Ashbourne is recruiting an experienced HGV Class 2 Skip Driver to join our client's team based in Kniveton, Ashbourne. You will operate a skip vehicle safely, transporting waste materials to and from customer sites while delivering excellent service and maintaining the highest safety standards.

This full-time role offers a 40-hour week, 7:00am start, and Monday to Friday pattern. A valid UK HGV Class 2 license, Driver CPC, and tachograph card are required.

Qualifications

• Valid UK HGV Class 2 (Category C) licence.
• Valid Driver CPC qualification.
• Digital tachograph card.
• Previous HGV driving experience desirable.
• Good knowledge of vehicle safety and maintenance.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate an HGV Class 2 skip vehicle for waste collection and delivery.
• Plan efficient routes to maximise productivity.
• Carry out daily vehicle safety checks and report defects.
• Load, transport and deliver waste materials in line with company procedures.
• Provide a professional and friendly service to customers.
• Ensure customer sites are left clean and tidy.
• Comply with Health & Safety, Driver Hours and road traffic regulations.
• Wear PPE and maintain high standards of vehicle cleanliness and presentation.
