Job summary

Pertemps Leicester Industrial is seeking an HGV shunter driver for a full-time position at East Midlands Gateway in Derbyshire. The role operates on a 4 on / 4 off shift pattern, moving trailers, performing safety checks, and supporting yard operations.

The successful candidate must hold a valid HGV Class 1 (C+E) licence, with prior shunting experience preferred, and good communication skills to coordinate with transport and warehouse colleagues.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Safely shunt trailers around the East Midlands Gateway site.
• Move and position trailers in designated areas and loading bays.
• Carry out daily vehicle and trailer safety checks.
• Follow all site health & safety procedures.
• Work closely with the transport and warehouse teams.
• Maintain a safe and organised yard environment.
• Complete required paperwork and vehicle checks.
• Adhere to company and site procedures at all times.
