Job summary

Wild Recruitment in Hedge End is seeking an experienced HGV Dustcart Driver to support local waste collections. Immediate start, Mon–Fri, 7.00am–3.00pm, no weekends.

Drive Class 2 refuse trucks, work in a small crew, complete vehicle checks, comply with safety procedures, and assist loaders as needed. Weekly pay and company benefits apply.

Qualifications

• Category C licence, CPC & Digi Tacho.
• Minimum 6 months’ Class 2 HGV experience.
• Must pass a driving assessment before starting.
• Rear-steer experience helpful but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Drive Class 2 refuse trucks across local routes.
• Work as part of a 2 or 3-person crew.

• Carry out daily vehicle checks & report defects.

Wild Recruitment are looking for experienced HGV Dustcart Driver to support household and commercial waste collections.

Key Responsibilities:

• Drive Class 2 refuse trucks across local routes
• Work as part of a 2 or 3‑person crew
• Collecting household food waste and recycling
• Carry out daily vehicle checks & report defects
• Follow all health & safety procedures
• Some heavy lifting when assisting loaders

What you’ll need:

• Category C licence, CPC & Digi Tacho
• Minimum 6 months’ Class 2 HGV experience
• Able to lift and support loading when required
• Team player with good initiative
• Must pass a driving assessment before starting
• Rear‑steer experience is helpful but not essential
