Job summary

Gotpeople is seeking a dependable HGV Class 2 driver for immediate and ongoing work in the Watford area. You will operate a dustcart, follow scheduled routes, and assist with loading as needed while upholding safety and regulatory standards.

The role requires 12 months’ Class 2 experience, a valid Category C licence, Driver CPC, and a current tachograph card. Enjoy weekly pay and a supportive team environment with training provided.

Qualifications

• 12 months’ experience driving HGV Class 2 (Category C) vehicles.
• UK Driving Licence Category C and Driver CPC.
• Digital Tachograph Card.
• No more than 6 penalty points (no DR or IN endorsements).

Responsibilities

• Safely operate a Class 2 refuse (dustcart) vehicle.
• Complete scheduled waste and recycling collection routes efficiently.
• Assist the loading crew as required.
• Conduct daily vehicle safety inspections.
• Comply with all road transport regulations and health & safety procedures.
• Maintain a reliable and professional service at all times.

What We're Looking For

• At least 12 months’ experience driving HGV Class 2 (Category C) vehicles
• Previous dustcart/refuse experience is advantageous but not essential
• Valid UK Category C Driving Licence
• Valid Driver CPC qualification
• Digital Tachograph Card
• No more than 6 penalty points (no DR or IN endorsements)
• Positive attitude, reliability, and a willingness to assist with loading duties
