Adecco in Sudbury, England is seeking a Class 2 Dustcart Driver (HGV) to join a dedicated refuse collection team. You will carry out daily refuse and recycling collections on planned routes with set start times, while maintaining vehicle and paperwork accuracy.

Qualifications

Salary: GBP16.59 - GBP16.59 per hour

HGV Refuse Collection Driver to join a team of valued key workers and help make a positive difference to the environment we all live and work in.

Your typical working hours will be:

• 6.30am to 3pm, Monday – Friday


• Overtime opportunities available

As a HGV Refuse Collection Driver, you’ll:

• Carry out refuse and recycling collections daily, with skills and knowledge of all machinery aspects of the job


• Undertake all duties in a professional manner deploying safe lifting and handling techniques appropriate to articles left for removal


• Use in-cab technology and mobile devices as directed


• Complete relevant paperwork in real time


• Carry out daily inspections and reporting for machinery and vehicles, before and after use


• Ensure the cleanliness of machinery and vehicles.


• Maintain excellent customer and client relations, particularly with members of the public and other motor users

What you’ll need to do the role:

• Valid HGV Class 2 driving licence (with no more than 6 points)


• Driver CPC


• Willingness to help refuse loaders while on your rounds to enable your team to complete the route within the service level agreement


• Good communication and interpersonal skills


• Self-motivated


• Willingness to undertake tasks
