Job summary

Auto Skills UK is seeking an Mobile HGV Technician to service, maintain and repair HGVs at customer sites and roadside locations in the Pyle area. You will diagnose faults using diagnostic equipment, perform safety checks, and prepare vehicles for MOT tests while ensuring accurate job cards and records.

The role offers a company van, fuel card, and a signing bonus with overtime; regular pay reviews and annual pay rises.

Qualifications

• Level 3 / City & Guilds or NVQ technician qualification.
• Full UK Driving Licence is essential.
• HGV licence is an advantage.
• Experience with MOT preparation preferred.

Responsibilities

• Carry out servicing, maintenance, and repairs to HGVs and trailers at customer sites or roadside locations.
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic faults using diagnostic equipment.
• Perform routine inspections, safety checks, and MOT preparation work.
• Respond to breakdowns and provide efficient on-site repairs to minimise vehicle downtime.
• Complete job cards and maintenance records accurately.

HGV Technician Job Details

Basic Salary: £42,387 to £45,000 (DOE) + £1500 Signing Bonus + Overtime

Working Hours: No Weekends - Monday-Friday - 07:00-16:00!

Location/Depot: Pyle
