Job summary

Holcim is seeking a qualified HGV Class 2 Driver to join the logistics team at the RMX plant in Birmingham. You will operate a concrete mixer truck, primarily at Whetstone RMX while occasionally supporting other plants in the region.

Maintain professional presentation and service while promoting fuel efficiency and cost minimisation. Candidate should hold an HGV licence with CPC, be flexible on hours (including weekends/night), and have good communication skills with a customer-focused mindset.

Qualifications

• Can work alone or as part of a team.
• Flexible hours including potential night/weekend shifts.
• Knowledge of AI Policies and procedures is an advantage.
• Knowledge of concrete is desirable but not essential.
• Customer focus is required.
• Good communication skills are essential.
• HGV licence and CPC card desirable.
• MPQC preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate the concrete mixer truck on daily runs.
• Drive company fleet to various plants within the region, primarily Whetstone RMX Birmingham.
• Uphold high standards of image, presentation and delivery service for the company.
• Aim to improve fuel efficiency and minimise costs.

The Opportunity

We have a new vacancy for an HGV Class 2 Driver to join our expanding logistics team based out of our RMX plant in Birmingham.

Responsible for the day to day operation of a concrete mixer truck based predominantly in Whetstone RMX plant but on occasions will be required to operate at other plants within the region. To drive any vehicle of the company’s fleet which has been assigned and a current licence is held. To uphold the high standard of image, presentation and delivery service for which the company is known and to strive to improve fuel efficiencies and reduce cost minimisation.
