Job summary

3D Personnel Ltd is seeking HGV Mechanics/Technicians for roles in Surrey. The job involves routine maintenance to DVSA standards, diagnosing issues on heavy goods vehicles, and preparing vehicles for MOT checks and regular maintenance. Immediate start with permanent opportunities after 3 months.

The role requires hands-on maintenance, diagnostics, documentation, and occasional roadside support, with a focus on safety and upskilling with the latest technologies in the field.

Qualifications

• Experience maintaining and repairing heavy goods vehicles.
• COSHH awareness and environmental best practices.
• Desirable City & Guilds / IRTEC / NVQ certification.

Responsibilities

• Identify faults with advanced diagnostic tools and perform effective repairs.
• Dismantle and overhaul vehicle components to restore function.
• Complete maintenance for diverse vehicles and plant equipment.
• Document work using tablets/PDAs and complete job cards.
• Perform road tests to confirm safety and performance.
• Support roadside breakdowns to minimise downtime.
