Base pay range

HGV Mechanic, Full time 40 hours per week.
Based in our vehicle maintenance unit (VMU) at our depot in Blairlinn, Cumbernauld.
Within this role, you will receive £20.70 per hour.

The Shift Pattern Includes:

• Monday to Friday: 11:30am - 8:00pm
• Saturday to Sunday: 8:00am - 4:30pm

Please note that within this role, you will be required to work one out of four weekends.

The role will involve:

• Maintaining the fleet of vehicles and trailers, including Mercedes, Renault, and Scania tractor units, along with multi-temperature trailers, curtain sliders, and box trailers.
• Carrying out inspections, repairs, and testing.
• Diagnosing faults.

Qualifications and experience required:

• Level 3 City & Guilds Maintenance of Heavy Goods Vehicles (or equivalent)
• Experience with diagnostic equipment and fault tracing for first-time repairs
• MOT preparation

Additional desirable experience:

• LOLER experience and tail lift repair
• Multi-temperature trailers and fridge repairs
• CE license
