Job summary

Auto Skills UK is recruiting an experienced HGV / LCV Technician for a permanent 4-day back shift in Sheffield. You will service, diagnose and repair a range of commercial vehicles and trailers, with a 1:30pm start and a midnight finish, 40 hours per week.

The role requires 3 years' experience and NVQ Level 3, strong mechanical and diagnostic skills, and the ability to work safely to industry standards. Salary is £41,600 per year with paid overtime, enhanced holiday entitlement and a range of

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years' experience in a similar role.
• NVQ Level 3 or equivalent – essential.
• Strong mechanical and diagnostic skills.
• Experience servicing and repairing commercial vehicles.
• Good fault-finding and problem-solving ability.
• High standards of workmanship.
• HGV Licence - desirable.

Responsibilities

• Routine inspections, servicing and preventative maintenance.
• HGV and LCV mechanical repairs.
• Mechanical and electrical fault diagnosis.
• Defect repairs and preventative maintenance.
• Working on franchised and non-franchised commercial vehicles.
• Trailer maintenance and repairs.
• Using manufacturer diagnostic systems and specialist tooling.
• Completing job cards, service sheets and online maintenance records.
• Ensuring all work is completed safely and to industry standards.
