Job summary

Auto Skills UK in Dartford is recruiting an experienced HGV Technician for a well-established fleet operation. The role involves servicing, repairs and diagnostics on heavy vehicles, with a clear path for training and development.

The shift pattern is 4 on 4 off nights, offering a generous base salary and potential OTE. The ideal candidate will have Level 3 HGV/PSV/LCV maintenance qualifications, solid diagnostic skills, and a clean UK driving licence.

Qualifications

• Level 3 qualification or equivalent in HGV, PSV or LCV Maintenance and Repair.
• Previous experience as an HGV Technician, PSV Technician, LCV Technician or Commercial Vehicle Technician.
• Strong mechanical and diagnostic skills.
• A reliable and punctual approach to work.
• Full UK Driving Licence preferred.

Responsibilities

• Carry out servicing, maintenance and repairs on HGVs and commercial vehicles.
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical and technical faults.
• Complete routine inspections and preventative maintenance.
• Prepare vehicles for MOT and safety inspections.
• Accurately complete job cards and maintenance records.
• Ensure all work is completed safely and to a high standard.
• Work effectively as part of a busy workshop team.
