Job summary

Interaction Recruitment Group in Ware, Hertfordshire is seeking a reliable Class 2 HGV Driver to deliver wood and coal to residential customers across the local area and surrounds.

The role runs Monday to Friday, starts at 6:00am, with 8–9 hour shifts, driving a mix of 7.5-tonne and Class 2 vehicles, loading/unloading and providing friendly customer service.

Qualifications

• Valid Class 2 (Cat C) driving licence.
• Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph.
• Previous HGV driving experience preferred.
• Experience with multi-drop or residential deliveries would be an advantage.
• Physically fit and comfortable with manual handling.
• Reliable, punctual and hardworking.
• Good communication and customer service skills.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Positive attitude and professional approach.

Responsibilities

• Deliver wood and coal to residential customers.
• Load and unload the vehicle.
• Carry bags of fuel, logs and other products.
• Maintain vehicle cleanliness and report defects.
• Complete delivery paperwork accurately.
• Perform daily vehicle checks and ensure loads are secure.

CLASS 2 HGV DRIVER - WOOD & COAL DELIVERIES

Location: Ware, Hertfordshire
Pay: £18.00 per hour
Hours: Monday-Friday, 6:00am starts
Shift length: Approximately 8-9 hours per day

We are looking for a reliable and hardworkingClass 2 HGV Driverto join our team, delivering wood and coal to residential customers throughout the local area and surrounding regions.

The Role

• Monday to Friday, starting at 6:00am
• Approximately 8-9 hours per day
• £18.00 per hour
• Based in Ware
• Driving a mixture of 7.5-tonne and Class 2 vehicles
• Delivering wood, coal and other solid fuels directly to residential customers
• Loading and unloading your vehicle
• Carrying and handling bags of fuel, logs and other products
• Delivering to houses, driveways, garages and other residential locations
• Providing friendly and professional customer service
• Completing delivery paperwork
• Carrying out daily vehicle checks
• Ensuring loads are secure and delivered safely
• Keeping the vehicle clean and reporting any defects or issues

What We’re Looking For

• Valid Class 2 (Cat C) driving licence

Important

This is aphysical, hands-on driving role. The successful candidate will spend part of the day driving and part of the day lifting, carrying and unloading wood and coal. You must therefore be comfortable with regular manual handling and physical work.
