Job summary

Interaction Recruitment is seeking a reliable Class 2 HGV Driver to join our team in Ware, delivering wood and coal to residential customers across the local area.

Typical day starts at 6:00am, Monday to Friday, with 8–9 hour shifts and £18.00 per hour. You will drive 7.5-tonne or Class 2 vehicles, load/unload, and provide friendly service while keeping paperwork up to date. You may be involved in daily vehicle checks and must maintain safety standards.

Qualifications

• Valid Class 2 (Cat C) driving licence
• Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph
• Experience with multi-drop or residential deliveries is preferred
• Physically fit for manual handling
• Reliable, punctual and hardworking

Responsibilities

• Deliver wood, coal and solid fuels to residential customers
• Load and unload vehicles
• Carry and handle bags of fuel and logs
• Provide friendly customer service
• Complete delivery paperwork
• Perform daily vehicle checks
• Ensure loads are secure and delivered safely

CLASS 2 HGV DRIVER – WOOD & COAL DELIVERIES

Location:Ware, Hertfordshire
Pay:£18.00 per hour
Hours:Monday–Friday, 6:00am starts
Shift length:Approximately 8–9 hours per day

We are looking for a reliable and hardworkingClass 2 HGV Driverto join our team, delivering wood and coal to residential customers throughout the local area and surrounding regions.

The Role

• Monday to Friday, starting at 6:00am
• Approximately 8–9 hours per day
• £18.00 per hour
• Based in Ware
• Driving a mixture of 7.5-tonne and Class 2 vehicles
• Delivering wood, coal and other solid fuels directly to residential customers
• Loading and unloading your vehicle
• Carrying and handling bags of fuel, logs and other products
• Delivering to houses, driveways, garages and other residential locations
• Providing friendly and professional customer service
• Completing delivery paperwork
• Carrying out daily vehicle checks
• Ensuring loads are secure and delivered safely
• Keeping the vehicle clean and reporting any defects or issues

What We're Looking For

• Valid Class 2 (Cat C) driving licence
• Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph
• Previous HGV driving experience preferred
• Experience with multi-drop or residential deliveries would be an advantage
• Physically fit and comfortable with manual handling
• Reliable, punctual and hardworking
• Good communication and customer service skills
• Able to work independently and as part of a team
• Positive attitude and professional approach

Important

This is aphysical, hands-on driving role. The successful candidate will spend part of the day driving and part of the day lifting, carrying and unloading wood and coal. You must therefore be comfortable with regular manual handling and physical work.
