Job summary

Alecto Recruitment currently seeks an experienced HGV Fitter / HGV Technician to join a well-established commercial vehicle repair operation in Sidcup. The role offers £16-£21 per hour DOE, with 45 paid hours per week and opportunities for overtime.

You will be responsible for inspecting, servicing and repairing a range of commercial vehicles in a modern workshop, including HGVs, LGVs, vans and trailers. Monday to Friday, with a strong benefits package.

Qualifications

• Experience with HGVs, LGVs, and other commercial vehicles.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out planned and preventative maintenance.
• Diagnosing mechanical faults and completing repairs.
• Servicing and maintaining HGVs and commercial vehicles.
• Carrying out inspections and safety checks.
• Repairing and maintaining trailers and specialist vehicles.
• Structural and chassis repair work.
• Ensuring all work is completed safely and to a high standard.

The Role

Working in a modern workshop, you will be responsible for the inspection, servicing, maintenance, fault-finding and repair of a varied range of commercial vehicles and equipment.

• Heavy commercial vehicles
• Vans / LCVs
• Trailers
• Buses / coaches
• Motorhomes
• Specialist commercial vehicles
• Structural chassis repairs
• Mechanical repairs and maintenance
• Vehicle diagnostics and fault finding

What We're Looking For

Experience working with HGVs, LGVs, commercial vehicles, heavy vehicles, trailers, buses, coaches, vans, chassis repairs, vehicle maintenance, servicing, diagnostics, mechanical repairs or fleet maintenance would be highly relevant.
