Job summary

We Are Workforce Ltd in Skelmersdale is seeking an experienced HGV Driver Trainer (C+E) to deliver Driver CPC and development training to a mixed group of drivers. You will conduct assessments, present materials, and mentor learners in classroom and on-road settings.

Key requirements include a valid C+E licence for 3+ years, strong communication skills, and a proactive training approach. The role follows a 5-on, 2-off shift pattern with hours and rates stated in the advert.

Qualifications

• Hold a full and valid C+E Driving Licence for a minimum of 3 years.

• Good understanding of Drivers' Hours and Tachograph Legislation.
• Good understanding of the Road Transport Working Time Directive (RTWTD).
• Willingness to deliver Driver CPC Training.
• Good level of written and spoken English.
• Basic computer skills.
• Professional and customer-focused approach.
• Excellent timekeeping and attendance record.
• Flexible and adaptable to meet business requirements.

Responsibilities

• Conduct driving assessments for new and existing drivers.
• Deliver Driver CPC and other driver development training.
• Present training materials and facilitate group learning sessions.
• Support on-route learning and delivery point familiarisation.
• Monitor tachograph infringements and provide coaching where required.
• Deliver coaching on safe driving, accident prevention and fuel efficiency.
• Mentor Warehouse to Wheels and other trainee drivers.
• Assist with general driving duties and deliveries when required.

HGV Driver Trainer -Skelmersdale

Excellent opportunity to utilise your driving expertise and training skills.

We are currently recruiting for an experienced C+E Driver Trainer based at ourMarket Drayton site. This role offers a 5-on, 2-off shift pattern working for one of the UK's largest transport and logistics groups.

As part of the role, you may be required to work as a Class 1 Driver during peak operational periods, including Christmas and summer holidays. Therefore, a valid Class 1 (C+E) licence is essential.

Shift Pattern

• Tuesday to Saturday Start Time: 14:00

Driver Trainer Pay Rates

Days

• Monday to Friday: £17.30 per hour
• Overtime after 47.5 hours: £19.46 per hour
• Saturday: £19.46 per hour
• Sunday & Bank Holidays: £25.95 per hour

Nights

• Monday to Friday: £19.77 per hour
• Overtime after 47.5 hours: £21.92 per hour
• Saturday: £21.92 per hour
• Sunday & Bank Holidays: £28.41 per hour

Only a 30-minute break deducted per shift.
£40 weekly uplift
