Job summary

TRC Yorkshire in Hemel Hempstead is seeking multiple HGV Drivers to join our client on an ongoing basis. Roles include Class 1 and Class 2 positions with day, twilight and night shifts across Monday to Sunday.

Drivers will move palletised parcels to couriers or collect from delivery units, may assist with loading using tail lifts, and must have a valid CPC, tachograph card, and a clean licence. Excellent communication and safety focus are essential.

Qualifications

• Full UK driving licence with Class 1/2 entitlement.
• Valid CPC and Digital Tachograph card.
• No more than 6 points on licence (minor offences only).
• Understanding of working time directive (WTD).
• Prepared to undertake a short driving assessment.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Safety-first mindset.

Responsibilities

• Move palletised parcels to couriers or collect from delivery units.
• Handle runs with 1–2 stops and maintain accurate paperwork.
• Assist with loading/unloading using tail lift and pump truck when required.
• Interact with customers and represent the company professionally.

The Recruitment Crowd are currently recruiting on behalf of our well known and industry-leading client based in the Hemel Hempstead area. We are looking for multiple HGV Drivers to join the team.

Shift

• Class 1 and Class 2 available
• Days - Across Monday to Sunday (weekend included)
• Afters - Across Monday to Sunday (weekend included)
• Nights- Sunday to Friday (Sunday's and Fridays included)

Pay Rate

• Class 2:
  • Twilight £16.45 per hour PAYE
  • Nights - £18.03 per hour PAYE
• Class 1:
  • Twilights - £17.82 per hour PAYE
  • Nights - £19.52 per hour PAYE

The role

• Securely moving and transporting palletised parcels to couriers or collecting them from delivery units.
• Handling runs with 1-2 stops, focusing on safe driving and maintaining accurate paperwork.
• Drivers may be required to assist with loading and unloading of the vehicle using a tail lift and pump truck.
• Interacting with customers and representing the company in a professional and courteous manner.
