Job summary

The Recruitment Crowd are seeking multiple HGV Class 2 Drivers for a well-known client based in Washington, NE37. Start times vary with flexible shifts including days, twilights and nights. Ongoing roles with potential permanent progression.

Pay rates start at £13.99 per hour (days) rising after 12 weeks, with higher rates for twilights, nights and Class 1 nights. You must hold a valid UK Class 2 licence, DCPC and Tachograph, with up to 6 points and a willingness to drive safely.

Qualifications

• Valid UK Class 2 (Cat C) licence.
• DCPC and Digital Tachograph valid.
• No more than 6 points on licence.
• Good understanding of WTD legislation.
• Willingness to complete driving assessment.
• Strong communication and safety focus.

Responsibilities

• Delivering and collecting palletised parcels.
• Loading/unloading using tail lift and pump truck.
• Completing paperwork accurately.
• Providing excellent customer service.
• Following all health and safety procedures.

The Recruitment Crowd are currently recruiting multiple HGV Class 2 Drivers on behalf of our well-known, industry-leading client based in Washington, NE37.

Pay Rates

• Class 2 Days: £13.99 per hour, rising to £14.69 after 12 weeks
• Class 2 Twilights: £14.73 per hour, rising to £15.43 after 12 weeks
• Class 2 Nights: £15.46 per hour, rising to £16.16 after 12 weeks
• Class 1 Nights: £16.45 per hour, rising to £17.20 after 12 weeks

Shifts Available

• Tuesday to Saturday
• Thursday to Sunday
• Extra shifts available during the week for drivers looking to pick up additional hours

Start Times

• Days: 4:00am-6:00am starts
• Twilights: 2:00pm starts

The Role

• 4-5 stops per shift
• Delivering and collecting palletised parcels
• Loading and unloading using a tail lift and pump truck
• Completing paperwork accurately
• Providing excellent customer service
• Following all relevant health and safety procedures

Requirements

• Full UK Class 2 (Category C) licence
• Valid DCPC and Digital Tachograph
• No more than 6 points on your licence (minor offences only)
• Good understanding of WTD legislation
• Willingness to complete a driving assessment
• Good communication skills
• Safety-first approach
