Job summary

Recruitment Crowd are recruiting HGV drivers in the Crawley area for a well-known client. Night shifts run across Sunday to Saturday, starting between 23:59 and 01:00, with full time or part-time options available.

Roles include moving palletised parcels, handling 1-2 stop routes, and possibly assisting with loading using tail lift and pump truck. You must hold a UK licence (Class 1/2), CPC and Tachograph card, and have no more than six points.

Qualifications

• Clear communication skills and professionalism
• Valid UK driving licence with Class 1/2 entitlement
• CPC and Digital Tachograph card mandatory
• No more than 6 points on licence (minor offences only)

Responsibilities

• Move palletised parcels securely to couriers or from delivery units
• Manage runs with 1-2 stops focusing on safe driving and accurate paperwork
• Assist with loading/unloading using tail lift and pump truck when required
• Interact with customers and represent the company professionally

Recruitment Crowd are currently recruiting on behalf of our well known and industry-leading client based in the Crawley area. We are looking for multiple HGV Drivers to join the team.

Shift

• Class 1 and Class 2 available
• Nights - Shifts across Sunday to Saturday - 23:59pm - 01:00am Starts (Full time or part time)

Pay Rate

Nights

• Class 2: £18.03 per hour PAYE
• Class 1: £18.55 per hour PAYE

The role

• Securely moving and transporting palletised parcels to couriers or collecting them from delivery units.
• Handling runs with 1-2 stops, focusing on safe driving and maintaining accurate paperwork.
• Drivers may be required to assist with loading and unloading of the vehicle using a tail lift and pump truck.
• Interacting with customers and representing the company in a professional and courteous manner.

Requirements

• Experience would be preferred but new passes will be considered
• Full UK driving licence with Class 2 / Class 1 entitlement
• Valid and in date CPC and Digital Tachograph card.
• No more than 6 points on licence (minor offences only).
• Full understanding of WTD legislation.
• Be prepared to undertake a short driving assessment for the position.
• Excellent communication skills.
