• Good understanding of Working Time Directive (WTD) legislation.
• Willingness to complete a short driving assessment.
• Excellent communication skills.
• A strong safety-first attitude.

• Completing runs safely and efficiently.
• Maintaining accurate paperwork and delivery records.

HGV Class 2 Drivers (CAT C) Part Time Bury St Edmunds

The Recruitment Crowd are currently recruiting on behalf of our well-known and industry-leading client based in Bury St Edmunds (IP32). We are looking for multiple HGV Class 2 Drivers (CAT C) to join the team on a part-time, ongoing basis, with the opportunity of permanent employment for the right candidates.

New Pass Drivers Welcome!

Pay Rates

• Nights: £18.17 per hour PAYE
• Twilights: £17.41 per hour PAYE

Shifts & Start Times

• Nights: Monday to Sunday, with start times between 22:00 and 23:59
• Twilights: Start time of 16:00
• Part-time hours available with the opportunity to pick up extra shifts, subject to availability.

The Role

As an HGV Class 2 Driver, you will be responsible for safely transporting palletised parcels to couriers and collecting them from delivery units.

Your duties will include:

• Safely transporting palletised parcels between delivery units and courier locations.
• Completing runs safely and efficiently.
• Maintaining accurate paperwork and delivery records.
• Assisting with loading and unloading when required.
• Using a tail lift and pump truck to load and unload the vehicle.
• Providing professional and courteous customer service.
• Following all company health, safety and operational procedures.

Requirements

• Full UK driving licence with HGV Class 2 (CAT C) entitlement.
