Job summary

The Recruitment Crowd are currently recruiting on behalf of our well-known and industry-leading client based in Severn Beach, Bristol. We are looking for multiple HGV Class 2 Night Drivers to join the team on an ongoing basis, with the opportunity to become permanent for the right candidates.

New Pass Welcome! Shifts are Nights, with Weekend availability; you will transport palletised parcels, complete runs with ~45 stops, and load/unload using a tail lift and pump truck while keeping paperwork

Qualifications

• Valid HGV Class 2 (Category C) licence and entitlement.
• New Pass Welcome and willingness to drive night shifts.
• DCPC and Digital Tachograph Card valid and in-date.
• No more than 6 points on your licence.
• Understanding of WTD legislation.
• Willingness to complete a driving assessment.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Safety-first approach.

Responsibilities

• Safely transporting palletised parcels to couriers and delivery units.
• Completing runs with approximately 45 stops.
• Loading and unloading using a tail lift and pump truck.
• Maintaining accurate paperwork and following safe working practices.
• Providing a professional and courteous service to customers.

Shifts & Pay

• HGV Class 2 Nights
• Monday to Sunday
• Weekend availability required
• £17.59 per hour PAYE
• Ongoing work with the opportunity for permanent employment

The Role

• Safely transporting palletised parcels to couriers and delivery units
• Completing runs with approximately 45 stops
• Loading and unloading using a tail lift and pump truck
• Maintaining accurate paperwork and following safe working practices
• Providing a professional and courteous service to customers

Requirements

• Full UK driving licence with Class 2 (Category C) entitlement
• New Pass Welcome
• Valid and in-date DCPC and Digital Tachograph Card
• No more than 6 points on your licence(minor offences only)
• Full understanding of WTD legislation
• Willingness to complete a short driving assessment
• Excellent communication skills
• A safety-first approach
