Job summary

United Rentals is seeking a versatile HGV Driver/Service Technician to support our rental business across the east of the UK. The role involves delivering, setting up, and de-installing equipment, performing basic maintenance, and maintaining safe, tidy workspaces.

You will travel to customer sites with occasional overnight trips and must hold a C+E license with a willingness to learn additional skills. Training is provided by the company.

Qualifications

• Full Driving License C+E and recent experience.
• Crane Truck/Lorry Loader training desirable (training provided).
• ADR desirable (training provided).
• Team player and independent worker with high flexibility.
• Good oral and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Operate HGV (Artic, Hiab and hook loader) for delivery and setup of equipment.
• Deliver and assist with setup and de-install of equipment at customer sites.
• Equipment inspection, maintenance and post-delivery checks.
• Provide customer handover of rental equipment.
• Maintain driver logs and regulatory records.
