Job summary

Routes To Work South in Bothwell is seeking two experienced Class 2 HGV drivers for 4-night weeks. You will be part of a two-person team delivering and collecting goods, with a guaranteed 40 hours per week and a range of benefits. The role requires valid CPC, digital tachograph card, and driving license.

Salary is £34,272–£36,768 with pension and cycle to work schemes. This full-time position supports a busy expansion and offers a rewarding working environment with a focus on safety and service.

Qualifications

• Proven experience driving Heavy Goods Vehicles.
• Experience operating a power pallet truck.
• Experience using electronic delivery equipment.
• Comprehensive knowledge of driver regulations.

Responsibilities

• Unloading 2-3 trailers nightly as part of a two-person team.
• Loading delivery vehicle and securing loads.
• Delivering and collecting returns with Tail Lift & pallet truck.
• Performing routine vehicle checks before and after each shift.
• Completing all work-related paperwork accurately at shift end.
• Maintaining safety and reporting any issues to the line manager.

Main Duties & Responsibilities

Key Tasks

• Assisting with unload of 2 -3 trailers nightly including handball.
• Assisting with loading your delivery vehicle.
• Securely opening and closing customer premises as part of a two-man team.
• Delivering and collecting any returns required via Tail Lift & pallet truck.
• Accurately complete and submit all work-related paperwork at the end of each shift.
• Perform thorough vehicle checks before and after each shift.
• Report any non-conformities or near misses to your line manager promptly.
• Ensure timely deliveries and maintain the integrity of goods during transit and delivery.
