Proman UK, acting as an Employment Business, is currently recruiting experienced Class 2 HGV / LGV C Drivers to support our client based in Heywood.This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established distribution operation delivering products to retail outlets across the UK.
The role offers a flexible 4-day working week with a published rota provided one week in advance, allowing drivers to plan their work-life balance effectively.
Opportunities to pick up additional shifts on scheduled rest days when available
Occasional Sunday work may be available for specific routes requiring an overnight stay.
You will be responsible for delivering products to customer sites, with many deliveries taking place outside normal trading hours.
Key responsibilities include:
Availability to complete nights out is essential, although the client will always try to accommodate driver preferences wherever possible.
Fully paid training is provided for the right candidate and typically takes around 2 weeks to complete, ensuring you are confident with routes, delivery procedures and customer site access requirements.
This is a physically demanding role.
Drivers will be required to manually unload products from the vehicle and transport them into customer premises using a sack truck. Candidates should be comfortable with regular manual handling and physical work.
