Job summary

Sunbelt Rentals in the West of England is seeking a skilled HGV Driver to join our team, delivering and collecting goods from customer sites and consistently meeting customer expectations.

You will operate commercial vehicles, ensure safety and roadworthiness, manage loading and unloading, communicate with customers, and comply with legal and company safety rules including the Working Time Directive.

Qualifications

• Holding a driving licence category C with no more than 6 points.
• CPC certification is required.
• Tachograph card holder.
• Experience driving a HGV Class 2 vehicle.
• Proactive approach to safety of company vehicles and drivers.
• Polite and professional manner when visiting customer premises.
• Good geographical knowledge; industry experience is desirable.
• Ability to use IT systems is desirable.
• FORS compliance is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Operate commercial vehicles for the transportation of goods.
• Ensure vehicle safety and roadworthiness before journeys and proper loading/unloading of loads.
• Visit customer locations and communicate with internal and external customers.
• Comply with legal requirements and Working Time Directive regulations at all times.

About The Role

Are you ready to be a part of our rapidly developing business. We are looking for a talented HGV Driver to join our team to ensure timely collection and deliveries from customer sites whilst consistently meeting or exceeding customer expectations.What will you be doing?

• Operating commercial vehicles for the transportation of goods
• Ensuring the vehicle is safe and roadworthy before commencing any journey, as well as the safe loading, unloading and security of the vehicle load
• Visiting customer locations, communicating with both internal and external customers
• Ensuring that the legal and company safety requirements, alongside the working time directive regulations are adhered to at all time
