Job summary

Evri Eastleigh site in Hampshire is seeking a Bulk Driver to join our UK parcel network. You will drive a lorry from our modern fleet, with shifts Mon-Fri 08:00-18:00 and 45 hours per week.

A Class 1 licence, DCPC hours, and solid knowledge of road transport laws are essential. You will load/unload, plan routes, and ensure timely deliveries while maintaining safety standards.

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid Class 1 driving licence.
• DCPC training hours completed or in progress.
• Strong knowledge of road transport laws and safe driving practices.

Responsibilities

• Drive a lorry from our fleet of Volvo vehicles, all under 4 years old.
• Manage 9-hour shifts, 7/8am starts, 45 hours per week, Monday to Friday.
• Inspect vehicle and trailer daily and complete Defect Reports when needed.
• Assist with loading/unloading at sites and scanning consignments when required.

What You’ll Do

You will drive a lorry from our exceptional fleet of Volvo vehicles, all less than 4 years old.They’rea joy to drive, and are equipped to a high specification, including fridges, leatherseatsand many more optional extras to make sureyou’recomfortable.

Most of our sites run from Monday to Friday, with 45 hour working weeks, and 9-hour shifts per day which typically start at 7/8am. Our well-organised shift schedules mean you often know in advance whereyou’llbe driving, taking the stress out of your day.

Key Role Responsibilities

• Wedon’tmicromanage our drivers. We trust them to get the job done and plan their own routes. The average number of stops in a shift is 4 to 6, sothere’splenty of time to enjoy being out on the open road - butyou’llstill be home again at the end of every 9-hour shift.
• You’llmake sure Cages, Pallets, Freight, Stillages and Yorks get to and from customers bang on time. At some sites, the goods will be loaded or unloaded for you - at others,you’llneed to do it yourself. Scanning consignments and driving pallet trucks will sometimes be part of your day.
• You’llbe responsible forinspecting your vehicle and trailer every day and complete a Defect Report if necessary.
