Job summary

Evri Group is the UK’s premier parcel delivery business seeking dedicated drivers for night shifts on a permanent contract. You will operate a Volvo-based lorry, with a 45-hour week over Monday to Friday evenings, enjoying a well-structured schedule that provides predictability and home time after each shift.

Key duties include trunking to regional hubs, loading and unloading as needed, and daily vehicle inspections.

Qualifications

• Class 1 Driving licence required as a minimum.
• Completed DCPC training hours or working toward them.
• Excellent knowledge of Road Transport Laws and safe driving practices.

Responsibilities

• Drive a lorry from Evri's fleet to regional hubs on the night shift.
• Plan routes and trunk goods to regional hubs while working independently.
• Assist with loading/unloading at sites when required and operate pallet trucks.
• Inspect the vehicle and trailer daily and submit a Defect Report if needed.

WhatYou’llDo:

You will drive a lorry from our exceptional fleet of Volvo vehicles, all less than 4 years old.They’rea joy to drive, and are equipped to a high specification, including fridges, leatherseatsand many more optional extras to make sureyou’recomfortable.

Most of our sites run from Monday to Friday, with 45 hour working weeks, and9-hourshifts per day which typically start at5/6pm. Our well‑organised shift schedules mean you often know in advance whereyou’llbe driving, taking the stress out of your day.

Key Role Responsibilities

We don’t micromanage our drivers. We trust them to get the job done and plan their own routes. This job involves trunking to regional hubs on the night shift. So, if you like the independence of being out on the open road for long stretches - but also want to be home again at the end of every 9-hour shift, this is the job for you.

You’ll make sure Cages, Pallets, Freight, Stillages and Yorks get to and from customers bang on time. At some sites, the goods will be loaded or unloaded for you – at others, you’ll need to do it yourself. Scanning consignments and driving pallet trucks will sometimes be part of your day.

You’ll be responsible for inspecting your vehicle and trailer every day and complete a Defect Report if necessary.
