Job summary

HG Recruitment is seeking professional HGV Class 1/ LGV C+E drivers for a mix of store deliveries and long-distance trunking with regular ongoing work and a 10-hour minimum pay per shift.

Shifts run Monday to Friday with day rates of £17.25/hour, plus weekend rates and premiums. Overtime is paid after 10.35 hours per shift, with first-class support and a driver portal for assignments and payslips.

Qualifications

• Valid HGV Class 1 / LGV C+E licence
• 12 Months Class 1 driving experience
• Digital Tachograph Card Valid
• Driver CPC Valid
• 6 points for minor endorsements
• Good knowledge of Drivers' Hours and Working Time Regulations
• Good national geographical knowledge

• Store deliveries and multi-drop deliveries (days)
• Long-distance trunking (nights to Scotland)

We are looking for professional Class 1 Drivers for a mixture of store deliveries and long-distance trunking , with regular ongoing work, planned shifts and a minimum of 10 hours' pay guaranteed per shift.

Days Monday to Friday

£17.25 per hour

Shift Premiums

• Shift Premium band 1 (00:03 – 02:59) - £14.08 – Per Shift
• Shift Premium band 2 (03:00 – 03:59) - £9.50 - Per Shift
• Shift Premium band 3 (04:00 – 04:59) - £9.50 - Per Shift
• Shift Premium band 4 (16:00 – 00:02) - £14.08 - Per Shift
• Shift Premium band 5 (11:00 – 15:59) - £6.69 - Per Shift

Weekend Rates

• Saturday: £19.25 per hour
• Sunday: £21.28 per hour

Overtime

£20.80 per hour after 10.35 hours worked

The role

• Store deliveries – Days
• Multi-drop deliveries – Low level
• Long-distance trunking – Nights trunking to Scotland
• Delivering products within agreed delivery windows
• Carrying out vehicle checks and reporting any defects
• Working safely and following company procedures
• Providing a professional and reliable service to customers

Shift Patterns

Drivers will be required to work Monday to Friday, with the following start windows:

• AM: 02:00–05:00
• PM: 14:00–17:00
