Job summary

HG Recruitment is recruiting for HGV Class 1 drivers to operate 55 weeks a year in Haydock, with 7pm or 8pm start times. You'll perform deliveries and collections, handle 2–3 drops per shift, and receive weekly pay with holiday pay included.

Training and induction are provided as required, and ad hoc night shifts are available. Roles include both day and night shifts, with guaranteed hours and ongoing support from the team.

Qualifications

• Valid Class 1 (C+E/C) licence.
• Valid CPC and Digital Tachograph Card.
• Minimum 12 months Class 1 driving experience.
• Good knowledge of drivers' hours and tachograph regulations.
• ADR/LQ work is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate Class 1 HGVs for deliveries and collections.
• Perform transport tasks from general haulage to pallet deliveries/collections.
• Ensure timely and accurate transportation of goods.
• Complete paperwork and digital logs promptly.
• Conduct daily vehicle checks and report issues.
• Maintain high standards of customer service and professionalism.

Class 1 Nights Driver (Ad hoc)We also require drivers for ad hoc shifts to earn extra money to work 1-3 days a week.10 – 12 hour shifts

The role

• Safely operate Class 1 HGV vehicles for scheduled deliveries and collections.
• Perform a variety of transport tasks, ranging from general haulage to Pallet Track deliveries/collections.
• Ensure the timely and accurate transportation of goods to their destinations.
• Complete all relevant paperwork and digital logs accurately and promptly.
• Conduct daily vehicle checks and promptly report any issues identified.
• Maintain a high standard of customer service and professionalism at all times.

• Start times 7pm or 8pm
• Palatalised stock delverytemp‑to‑perm work
• Minimum 10 hours paid per shift
