Job description

We are recruiting an HGV Driver to join our supportive network of professional drivers, covering our Westbury Operation Centre BA13 4WD and the surrounding area.

You'll be working from Monday to Friday with no bank holiday working.

A Copart Driver loads, collects, and delivers primarily accident-damaged vehicles of various shapes, sizes, and conditions on our salvage transporters. The role can be physically demanding. We serve our insurance and automotive customers, ensuring compliance with all legal and company requirements for professional drivers. This includes operating vehicles and loading equipment safely and efficiently, following all H&S policies and procedures.

No transporter experience? No problem — we provide comprehensive training! You will undergo 3 weeks of dedicated 1-2-1 training and benefit from our bespoke annual CPC training. If you hold a Cat C licence, we can up-skill you to C+E after successful completion of your probation.

The approximate salary, based on an average of 6 vehicle collections per day, is £41,482.

What we need from you:

• HGV Licence Class 1 or Class 2
• Current CPC
• Understanding of EC Drivers Hours, Working Time regulations, and tachograph use
• Experience driving in rural and urban environments
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• Flexibility and adaptability
• Strong attention to detail
• Comfortable with handheld devices and basic IT applications
• Ability to organise and adjust your working day
• Car transportation or recovery experience is advantageous but not essential
