Job description

Job Title: HGV Driver Weekends

Location: Cardiff

Salary: £15.86 p/h to £25.16 p/h

Pertemps, in partnership with the Royal Mail, is seeking HGV Drivers for the Cardiff site to work weekends. If you're looking for work, our onsite team across the country is ready to help you start immediately.

As an HGV Weekend Driver, after passing an assessment, you'll trunk parcels and mail between depots across the Royal Mail Network. The role involves manual work, with shifts offered a week in advance. We have competitive pay rates and flexible start times and days to suit various preferences. Candidates should be willing to be flexible with shifts, including afternoons, evenings, or nights.

Entry Requirements:

1. Hold a valid driving licence for at least 2 years with no more than 5 penalty points. A clean licence is preferred, as exceeding 5 points may lead to termination of the assignment.
2. Have a minimum of 180 days of driving experience within the last 2 years, in the relevant category for commercial use.
3. Have no more than 10 infringements over a 12-month period, with no more than 6 of the same category within 6 months.
4. Be familiar with checking your Digi tacho before assessment, as failure to do so will result in an instant fail. Ability to manually enter data on the Digi tacho is essential.
5. No DD, DR, IN, or CD endorsements are accepted.
6. Be able to pass a CRB security check following registration.
