Job summary

Fawkes & Reece London is seeking a Class 2 HGV Driver to operate from our Liverpool head office, covering the North West region. You will deliver and relocate site cabins and equipment, support yard teams, and ensure safe handling of materials throughout the project duration.

The role requires a valid HGV Class 2 licence, Driver CPC, tachograph card, and proven driving experience. A strong safety mindset and good communication are essential for success in this position.

Qualifications

• Valid HGV Class 2 licence (Class C) is required.
• Valid Driver CPC card is required.
• Valid digital tachograph card is required.
• Proven experience as a HGV Driver or in a similar role.
• Excellent driving skills with a clean driving record.
• Physical strength to load and unload heavy items safely.
• Awareness of current road haulage legislation and HGV operations.
• Thorough driving knowledge of the North West.
• Thorough understanding of current health and safety legislation and best practice in haulage and construction.
• Strong problem solving skills and resilience under deadlines.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Desirable: valid lorry loader licence.
• Desirable: valid all terrain forklift licence.
• Desirable: valid telehandler licence.

Responsibilities

• Delivery / collection and setup of site accommodation to create an administrative centre for the project duration.
• Relocation of site accommodation as dictated by project requirements.
• Delivery / collection of plant / equipment to / from site.
• Delivery / collection of scaffold, site fencing, site materials and components.
• Miscellaneous lifting requirements.
• Assist yard personnel with readying, loading, tidying and general housekeeping.
• Assist yard personnel with maintenance & preparation of construction site cabins, including scraping / painting / cleaning.
