HGV Class 1 Driver (Nights)

Location: Chorley, Lancashire, England, UK

Job Details

1. At least 12 months of experience required.
2. Shifts: 10-12 hours on a 4/4 rota, with additional shifts available (subject to WTD regulations and availability).
3. Schedule: Mon-Fri shifts at £150 per shift; Sat-Sun and Bank Holidays at £165 per shift.
4. Salary: Yearly between £30,000 and £42,000.
5. New starters start at the current rate, with increases to £155 (Mon-Fri) and £170 (Sat, Sun & Bank Holidays) after probation.

Job Description

Forge Logistics Ltd is a veteran-owned and operated company based in Euxton. We have a longstanding relationship with the world's largest online retailer and are recruiting HGV Class 1 drivers.

Responsibilities

1. Primarily night shifts, with schedule subject to weekly change.
2. Pure driving; no load handling.
3. Work on a 4 on, 4 off rota, with additional days possible based on availability.
4. Flexible start times, scheduled via a dedicated app.
5. Perform vehicle checks thoroughly.
6. Adhere to all driving and working time regulations.

What We Offer

1. Shift pay: £150 (Mon-Fri), £165 (Sat-Sun & Bank Holidays).
2. Full fleet of Iveco CNG trucks (71 and 72 plate).
3. Guaranteed pay for canceled shifts.
4. Monthly pay (PAY).
5. 3-month probation period.
6. Holiday pay and SSP.
7. Ongoing training.

Requirements

1. Essential: Hold a CE licence for at least 1 year.
2. Essential: Consistent Class 1 work since passing (minimum 6 months).
3. Essential: Experience in commercial night driving.
