Job summary

Staffline is recruiting HGV Drivers in Rugby for a logistics and distribution operation that moves goods between warehouses, suppliers and customers.

You will operate articulated heavy goods vehicles, plan routes and ensure timely deliveries while complying with road safety regulations. Daily walkaround inspections and loading/unloading help are included, with tachograph records maintained.

Qualifications

• 6 months of class 1 driving experience required.
• CPC and tachograph knowledge expected.

Responsibilities

• Operate articulated heavy goods vehicles.
• Plan and follow assigned routes, ensure timely deliveries and compliance with road safety regulations.
• Carry out daily vehicle inspections before and after journeys.

HGV Driver for our client, a logistics and distribution company responsible for transporting goods between warehouses, suppliers, and customers.

Consolidated rates of pay

Various shifts and patterns available, Monday - Friday, 5 out of 7 & 4 on 4 off.

Your Time at Work

As an HGV Driver your duties include:

• Operate articulated heavy goods vehicles.


• Plan and follow assigned routes, ensuring timely deliveries while complying with road safety regulations and traffic laws.


• Carry out daily vehicle inspections (walkaround checks) before and after journeys to ensure roadworthiness.


• Assist with loading and unloading goods when required, ensuring items are handled safely and correctly.

Our Perfect Worker

Our perfect worker will have 6 months of class 1 driving experience, CPC and a tacho card. You will be able to accurately operate and maintain tachograph records.
