Job summary

Adler and Allan Group is seeking an HGV Driver (ADR or non-ADR) for permanent, full-time roles based in Manchester. You will join our Forecourt Services team, delivering drainage maintenance and tanking work for major oil companies and independent customers.

The role involves manual tasks, vehicle upkeep, and completion of paperwork. Full training is provided, and there are development opportunities within a supportive, safety‑focused environment.

Qualifications

• Valid HGV licence (ADR or non-ADR) preferred.
• Willingness to work as part of a team in field operations.
• Ability to perform manual tasks associated with drainage/ tank servicing.

Responsibilities

• Operate as part of a small team to perform site tankering works, jetting and drain cleaning.
• Carry out interceptor cleaning and servicing at petrol stations and large drainage sites.
• Complete all works paperwork and submit to supervision in a timely manner.
• Liaise with customers on site to discuss ongoing works and additional services.
• Maintain a clean vehicle and ensure all equipment and PPE are in good condition.
• Identify root causes and provide long-term solutions where possible.
• Any other duties within capability as required.

Locations - Manchester, Permanent, full-time

Operating from one of our Manchester depot, you will be required to operate as part of a team, working alongside other Engineers, fulfilling works for major oil companies & independent customers in the Forecourt Services division. You will be required to contribute to ensuring systems are working correctly and identifying root causes and provide customers with long a term solution.

The duties of this position include a high degree of manual work required when cleaning site drainage and tank systems to ensure compliance with the EA Guidelines/regulations.

More about the role:

• Operate as part of a one/two person team to perform and deliver site tankering works, which will include jetting and drain cleaning works, interceptor cleaning and servicing and reactive works on petrol filling stations, distribution centres and at large scale drainage infrastructure locations.
• Carry out Near miss & potential incident reporting. In-house training will be provided.
• Liaison with customers on site to discuss on-going works and further services of the Company.
• Maintain a clean vehicle and ensure all equipment, tools, PPE and other work items are in good order and repair and available for use at all times. You will be expected to inform supervision as soon as any damage is identified.
• Completion of all works paperwork and submission in a timely manner to divisional supervision.
• Liaison with supervision regarding all works and recommending improvements of possible opportunities.
• Any other duties for which you are qualified for and capable of undertaking.

We have multiple positions within our organisation around the UK. Drainage experience isn’t required as full training will be given.
