Job summary

The Sofa Delivery Company is seeking an experienced HGV Driver to join our team. You will deliver furniture across the UK for our CDC distribution network, working as part of a dedicated two-person crew.

Role requires a Class 1 licence, Digi Tacho and CPC, with strong safety focus and customer service skills. A rota of 5 days out of 7 with a 44-hour week, weekend and bank holiday work, and opportunities for progression are included.

Qualifications

• HGV/Class 1 licence, Digi Tacho and CPC card are required.
• Experience delivering and handling furniture is preferred.
• Good communication and safety awareness essential.

Responsibilities

What you'll be doing

This role operates on a rota of any 5 days out of 7, based on an average 44-hour working week, and includes weekend and bank holiday working. As an HGV Driver, you will be responsible for delivering goods to our CDC distribution network across the UK. The role involves reversing your vehicle onto designated loading bays at each site, where our warehouse teams will carry out all loading and unloading of the trailer.Represent The Sofa Delivery Company values and those of our brand partners in everything that you do. Work with your team and senior managers to provide feedback and continually improve the standards of service we offer.

• Carry out daily inspections of allocated vehicles and equipment, informing the line manager of any defects/missing items immediately.
• Comply with all driving laws as defined by the government and all company policies and procedures.

The role is for you if...

• You hold a HGV / Class 1 License, Digi Tacho, CPC Card and valid UK manual driving licence (minimum 12 months, max 6 points).
