Job summary

The Sofa Delivery Company is recruiting a driver to join a two-person delivery team and service our DFS and Sofology network across the UK. You will be responsible for safe, on-time deliveries and for coordinating with customers at delivery points.

The role requires HGV Class 1, Digi Tacho and CPC, with a focus on safety, customer care and teamwork in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Hold a HGV Class 1 license, Digi Tacho, CPC and UK manual licence (12+ months, max 6 points).
• Strong time management and people skills.
• Willing to lift and install heavy furniture in customers' homes.

Responsibilities

• Deliver goods to the CDC distribution network across the UK.
• Reverse onto loading bays and coordinate with warehouse teams for loading/unloading.
• Carry out daily vehicle inspections and report any faults.
• Adhere to driving laws and company policies and procedures.
• Work as part of a supportive two-person driving team.
• Provide excellent customer service on each delivery.

What you'll be doing

This role operates on a rota of

any 5 days out of 7, based on an average

44-hour working week, and includes

weekend and bank holiday working.

As an HGV Driver, you will be responsible for delivering goods to our CDC distribution network across the UK. The role involves reversing your vehicle onto designated loading bays at each site, where our warehouse teams will carry out all loading and unloading of the trailer.

Represent The Sofa Delivery Company values and those of our brand partners in everything that you do.

Work with your team and senior managers to provide feedback and continually improve the standards of service we offer.

Carry out daily inspections of allocated vehicles and equipment, informing the line manager of any defects/missing items immediately.

Comply with all driving laws as defined by the government and all company policies and procedures.

The role is for you if...

You hold a HGV / Class 1 License, Digi Tacho, CPC Card and valid UK manual driving licence (minimum 12 months, max 6 points).
