The Sofa Delivery Company, part of the DFS Group, is seeking an HGV Driver to join our two-person delivery team across the UK. You’ll work on a five‑day rota over seven, delivering furniture to customers with safety and pride. You’ll be supported by training and a collaborative team that values every moment you help create.

Qualifications

• Must hold HGV Class 1 Licence, Digi Tacho and CPC Card.
• UK manual driving licence with 12+ months experience and up to 6 points.
• Good people skills and enjoy helping customers.
• Strong time management and ability to handle variety.
• Comfort with lifting heavy furniture and working as a two-person team.

Responsibilities

• Deliver goods across the UK CDC network with safety and care.
• Reverse into loading bays while warehouse teams handle loading/unloading.
• Represent our values in every customer interaction.
• Provide feedback to team and managers to improve service.
• Carry out daily vehicle inspections and report defects.

What you'll be doing

• This role operates on a rota of any 5 days out of 7, based on an average 44-hour working week, and includes weekend and bank holiday working.

As an HGV Driver, you will be responsible for delivering goods to our CDC distribution network across the UK. The role involves reversing your vehicle onto designated loading bays at each site, where our warehouse teams will carry out all loading and unloading of the trailer.

• Represent The Sofa Delivery Company values and those of our brand partners in everything that you do.
• Work with your team and senior managers to provide feedback and continually improve the standards of service we offer.
• Carry out daily inspections of allocated vehicles and equipment, informing the line manager of any defects/missing items immediately.
• Comply with all driving laws as defined by the government and all company policies and procedures.

The role is for you if...

• You hold a HGV / Class 1 License, Digi Tacho, CPC Card and valid UK manual driving licence (minimum 12 months, max 6 points).
• You’re great with people and enjoy helping customers.
• You’ve got strong time management skills and thrive on variety.
• You’re comfortable installing and lifting heavy furniture in different home settings.
• You take pride in your work and value safety – of yourself and those around you.
• You’re ready to work as part of a supportive two-person team.
