Job summary

DFS is seeking a dedicated HGV Delivery Driver to join our team in Doncaster. You will deliver furniture to customers, manage loading/unloading, and maintain safety standards while upholding DFS brand service.

You'll work in a two-person delivery crew, follow planned routes, perform vehicle checks, and contribute to a reliable, positive delivery experience for our customers. A Class 1 license and strong teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid Class 1 HGV licence with no more than 6 penalty points.
• Excellent time management and teamwork abilities.
• Physically capable of heavy lifting and manual handling.
• Experience in logistics or warehouse environments is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Carry out all deliveries to company distribution centres in a safe, timely, and professional manner, ensuring furniture arrives undamaged.
• Coordinate effectively with internal teams and follow scheduled routes and timelines to ensure smooth delivery operations.
• Unload furniture and materials carefully at the designated locations within the distribution centres.
• Maintain a clean working environment by ensuring all packaging and waste is handled appropriately.
• Represent DFS and our brand partners by upholding our standards of professionalism and reliability.
• Perform daily vehicle and equipment checks, reporting any issues or defects to your line manager immediately.
• Adhere to all driving regulations as defined by law, as well as company policies and procedures.

About the role:

As a HGV Delivery Driver at DFS, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient delivery of furniture to and from our customer delivery centres , ensuring a high standard of customer service throughout the delivery experience. Working as part of a delivery team, you will transport products from distribution centres to customers, handle goods with care, and support the loading and unloading of vehicles . You will carry out vehicle safety checks, comply with all driving and transport regulations, and help create a positive final impression of the DFS brand by delivering exceptional service.

• Shifts: 44 hrs per week Monday to Friday, flexible start times but AM starts (can be anywhere between 04:00 - 09:00) with the occasional night out

We're looking for someone who:
