Job summary

The Lanes Group plc based in Manchester is seeking an HGV Operator (Drainage) to join our depot. You will operate high specification jetting and vacuumation units as part of a two-person team, with full training provided.

Responsibilities include jetting to clear blockages in drains and sewers, liaising with customers, updating electronic records, reporting safety issues and performing vehicle/equipment checks. 40-hour week, with weekly pay and enhanced overtime rates.

Qualifications

• HGV Class 2 licence with up to 6 penalty points preferred.
• CPC desirable.
• In-date CSCS advantageous but can be obtained if necessary.

• Operate high‑pressure water jetting equipment to clean and clear blockages in drains, sewers, pipes and other wastewater systems.

We are seeking a skilled and motivated HGV Operator (Drainage) to join our Depot based in Manchester. This role involves identifying defects and blockages within the sewer network and using high pressure water jetting to clean and clear.

• Hours:Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week
• Salary:£14 - £15 per hour dependant on experience

As a HGV Operator (Drainage), you will:

• You will be working closely in a team of 2 operating high specification jetting and vacuumation units -full training will be provided
• Operate high-pressure water jetting equipment to clean and clear blockages in drains, sewers, pipes, and other wastewater systems -full training will be provided
• Liaising with customers.
• Updating electronical records.
• Ensuring safety issues are reported.
• Vehicle and Jetting Equipment checks

Experience and qualifications required for the role:

• HGV Class 2 licence, with no more than 6 penalty points ideally
• A Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC) is desirable
• An in date CSCS would be advantageous – however this could be obtained if necessary
