Job summary

Veolia is hiring an HGV Tanker Driver in Grangemouth. The role involves operating and maintaining heavy goods vehicles, loading/unloading products safely, and acting as a front-line company representative with internal clients during pickups and deliveries.

You will drive Class 1 tankers, follow road safety regulations, and use eco-driving techniques while contributing to sustainability initiatives. The position offers 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with overtime and weekend work possible.

Qualifications

• Experience driving HGVs and operating tankers.
• Ability to follow road safety regulations and conduct vehicle checks.
• Clear, courteous communication with internal clients during pickups/deliveries.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain heavy goods vehicles, conduct daily vehicle checks.
• Manage safe loading/unloading of products and materials, prevent overweight/unsecure loads.
• Serve as a front-line company representative and handle queries professionally.
• Operate vehicles using eco-driving techniques and report fuel/mileage.
• Collaborate with workshop, depot colleagues and other drivers; participate in training.

What you’ll be doing;

• Operate and maintain heavy goods vehicles, conduct daily vehicle checks, and ensure all systems and equipment are in proper working order before use
• Manage safe loading and unloading of products and materials, prevent overweight and unsecure loads, and adhere to all relevant road safety regulations
• Serve as a front-line company representative, communicate clearly and courteously with internal clients during pickups and deliveries, and handle queries professionally
• Operate vehicles using eco-driving techniques, maintain accurate fuel consumption and mileage reporting, and participate in company sustainability initiatives
• Work effectively with workshop, depot colleagues and other drivers, participate in training sessions, mentor new drivers, and suggest improvements to operations

What we’re looking for;

• Full CatC+E (Class 1) licence
• Experience of driving HGVs
• Experience of driving and operating vacuum tankers would be advantageous
