Job summary

SUEZ in Darwen is seeking an experienced LGV driver (Class 2) with CPC, for a fixed-term 6-month contract. You will drive and operate waste/recycling collection vehicles, delivering a high standard of service while adhering to Health & Safety rules. Training is provided where needed, with full PPE supplied and a 45-hour week.

Location-based role in Darwen, with shift pattern Monday to Friday and early start times. No prior experience required as full training will be given.

Qualifications

• An LGV Class 2 licence and CPC card are essential.
• Experience in the waste industry is desirable but not essential.
• Full training will be provided where needed.

Responsibilities

• Drive and operate vehicles collecting Industrial and Commercial waste and recycling from customers.
• Deliver a high standard of service while complying with Health & Safety rules.
• Work as part of a hardworking team to maintain customer service excellence.

About The Role

Location: Darwen

• Salary £35,032.71 per annum / £14.92 per hour
• Working 45 hours per week
• Shift pattern: Monday - Friday
• Start times: 04.00 am
• Experience not required as full training will be given.
• Full PPE provided

What will I be doing?

The role will involve the driving and operation of vehicles collecting Industrial and Commercial waste and recycling from our customers, delivering a high standard of service and ensuring compliance with our customer’s Health and Safety rules as well as our own at all times.

What are the requirements?

You must be able to demonstrate a passion for professional driving coupled with good communication skills and a willingness to be part of a successful hardworking team, delivering a high level of customer service.

The Role Also Requires

• An LGV Class 2 license as well as a CPC card are essential.
• Experience of working in the waste industry is desirable though not essential.
• Experience of working with recycling vehicles, roll on roll off containers, is preferred but not essential as training will be given where necessary.
