Job summary

Ignite Recruitment Services is seeking an HGV Drainage Engineer in Manchester to join a specialist drainage team. You will drive tanker vehicles and perform high-pressure jetting, drain cleaning, and interceptor servicing at petrol forecourts, DCs and commercial sites.

Expect 25–50% driving with on-site work, and occasional overnight stays with accommodation provided. The role offers funded ADR qualification, with overtime and weekend incentives.

Qualifications

• Valid UK HGV Category C+E licence with clean driving record.
• Willingness to gain or renew ADR and other qualifications.
• Experience with tanker operation is desirable but not required.
• Comfortable working outdoors and around heavy vehicles.
• Health and safety awareness is essential.

Responsibilities

• Operate tanker vehicles for drainage services.
• Perform high-pressure jetting and drain cleaning at sites.
• Service interceptors at forecourts, distribution centres, and commercial sites.
• Split time between driving (25–50%) and on-site work.
• Accommodation and subsistence provided for overnight stays.
