Job summary

Unity Doors is recruiting a Delivery Driver with an HGV 2 license to join our logistics team at our head office in Newent, Gloucestershire. You will deliver timber and composite doorsets with 5–10 drops per day, and may operate 7.5t or 3.5t vehicles on a rotational basis.

Based at the Newent site, candidates must have CPC and Tacho, be physically fit for manual handling, and be prepared for early starts (3am).

Qualifications

• Current driving license with valid CPC and Tacho card up to HGV 2 (minimum).
• Be physically fit and used to manual handling of products.
• Willing to start early (3am onwards).
• Knowledge of main motorway networks across England.
• Willing to stay out overnight on occasion.

Responsibilities

• Deliver our doorsets to a variety of customers, with 5–10 drops per day on average.
• Drive vehicles up to 18 tonnes, with rotational use of 7.5t or 3.5t vehicles.
• Work Monday to Friday, with overtime paid for hours over 45 per week.

Unity Doors is a specialist in the design, manufacture and supply of Timber and Composite doorsets. We are recruiting for a Delivery Driver (with a HGV 2 license) to join our logistics team at our head office in Newent, Gloucestershire.

Based at our Head Office in Newent, Gloucestershire

Hours work:

Monday to Friday, 45 hour guaranteed contract

We are recruiting for a Delivery Driver with valuable experience of driving vehicles up to 18 tonne (HGV 2). The set-up of our transport team means that there will be flexibility required in which vehicle is driven, so driving of a 7.5 tonne lorry or a 3.5 tonne van will be on a rotational basis. You will be delivering our doorsets to a variety of customers, so the number of drops will vary (on average between 5-10 per day).

Suitable candidates will require:

• Current driving license with valid CPC and Tacho card up to HGV 2 (minimum)
• Be physically fit and used to manual handling of products
• Used to starting early (3am onwards)
• Daily working hours vary depending on delivery schedule – usually working week up to 50 hours per week (overtime paid on hours over 45 per week @ x1.33 rate)
• Good knowledge of the main motorway networks across England
• Willing to stay out overnight on occasion
• Professional, committed and passionate about doing the job to the best of their ability

Based out at the Newent Business Park, so candidates must have their own transport.

Pay rate £15 per hour (Annual salary £35,100 per annum plus overtime)
