Job summary

Pertemps Gloucester is recruiting an experienced HGV Class 2 Driver for a busy Newent operation in Gloucestershire. The role involves multi-drop deliveries across England, early starts from 03:00, and a guaranteed 45-hour week with overtime paid at enhanced rates.

You will work Monday to Friday on a stable schedule within a manufacturing business known for regular hours, a contributory pension, life cover, and other benefits.

Qualifications

• Valid UK Category C (Class 2) licence is required.
• Driver CPC qualification and Digital Tachograph Card are required.
• Experience driving up to 18 tonnes is preferred.
• Physically fit and comfortable with manual handling.
• Good knowledge of England's motorway network is required.
• Must be comfortable with early starts from 03:00.
• Professional, reliable, and customer-focused approach.
• Own transport is required due to location at Newent Business Park.

Responsibilities

• Driving HGV Class 2 vehicles (up to 18 tonnes) as part of a busy delivery fleet.
• Flexibility to drive 7.5 tonne lorries and 3.5 tonne vans on a rotational basis.
• Multi-drop deliveries to customers across England (typically 5-10 drops per day).
• Loading and unloading products safely and efficiently.
• Providing excellent customer service at all delivery locations.
• Completing all delivery paperwork accurately.
• Ensuring vehicles are kept clean, compliant, and roadworthy.
• Occasional overnight stays away from home when required.
